We hired DW Elite Decks in the Spring of 2020 and it turned out to be a great decision. Dan is one of the best contractors we have ever had work on our home (we have owned 4 homes). We had a somewhat unconventional large double deck built. Dan communicated with us at every turn on status, timing, costs, challenges and proposed solutions in addition to physically showing up on the job often. Dan and Tim listened to and were responsive to all questions and concerns (even the dumb ones). Tim and crew showed up each morning on time, worked hard all day, and were respectful of our home. The result was a great open deck on top with a beautiful screened in living area on the bottom. Dan is willing to go above and beyond in every way. Contractors that check all the boxes and have integrity are very tough to find. Dan Milford at DW Elite decks does that and more!

The job was performed in a very professional manner. They were prompt & timely in completing the project. Dan was very response to questions & concerns during the completion of the project, as well of afterwards. The crew was careful not to damage the irrigation system that ran near the footings of the new decks.

We had DW Elite replace our deck earlier this summer, and were very pleased with the final product. The owner, Dan Milford, provided us with a very detailed and professional quote, which we had no questions in understanding what he was including in his quote. Though they were not the cheapest quote, nor were they the highest quote. We went with DW Elite because they were very professional in their proposal and and all other contact with them. Also they carried a contractors license with Johnson County KS and were able to pull a permit with the city of OPKS to do this work. They are well versed in what is required by our city for deck installation. Also DW Elite carries all the appropriate insurances and has no problem with having their insurance company provide a copy of that to you. As for the work, I could not have been happier with the crew we had. They did an amazing job of cleanup at the end of every day, and for me that was very important. They kept all their equipment locked up in a trailer that they leave parked at your home, so there is no lugging stuff to and from on a daily basis. Work was completed in a week and the permit inspection was called in immediately after and we had a cleared permit within another week. I absolutely would recommend this company to anyone looking for a hassle free process and high quality professional contractor and final product. We would use them again should we ever need additional decking services.

They were on time and on budget. They were one of the best bids that we got and build a beautiful and sturdy deck. They made sure that everything was done right.

The deck is gorgeous and very solid. We are hiring them to seal it soon. Workmanship was great! Communication was good. I would highly recommend this company! Dan Milford is great to work with.

Dan and his crew did a fantastic job. They were professional, courteous and very cognizant of the yard, shrubs and surroundings. Dan offered suggestions that were helpful and provided insight on the project that really added to the beauty of the project. While he wasn't the lowest bid, we had seen his work on a neighbor's house and were very comfortable we were getting the best expertise for the job, and great professionalism. There were as many as 9 guys on the job at various times and they were there everyday until the job was completed. Dan estimated that the job would take about two weeks and the job was completed in 9 working days. The quality was outstanding and Dan responding immediately to any questions or concerns that I had. My wife and I could not be happier with the finished product and we have received numerous compliments on our screened porch.

I think it went very well. Dan was very detailed with the description of the services which would be rendered, and answered our questions very thoroughly. He was responsive to our questions during the building process.

They cleaned up everyday and hauled off the trash. It is a great looking deck and the envy of the neighborhhood. We are currently in discussion on a second major project. I highly recommend DW Elite Decks for your future consideration

This was our second time using DW Elite Decks. They did everything we asked. Started and finished when they said they would. Overall very well done. We are very pleased. DW Elite Decks has the best quality that I have seen. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an out door living space.

The work was well done with a crew of often 7 or more guys. The quality of the work was excellent. This was the second time we used them. All of the guys were conscience of yard, bushes and surroundings. During the whole process, Dan was very professional and very detailed in explaining the project. While with any project there are a couple small issues that come up, Dan and his crew were quick to address them to our satisfaction. The crew cleaned up each night before leaving. Everything Dan did was cognizant of meeting local and national codes. The bid was not the lowest we got, but our work with Dan suggested we would be getting the highest quality, thoroughness, and attention one would expect, and we did. Don't think you can go wrong with these guys!!

The project went really well and if we would have blinked, we would have missed it. From start to finish, it took the crew 6 working days to complete. Other companies quoted 4-6 weeks for the same job so I was skeptical of the quoted timeline, but after the first day, it was obvious these guys knew exactly what they were doing. The same crew showed up at the same time every day and worked like a well-oiled machine. We made a couple of changes along the way and Dan (owner) was always prompt to work with us on them, and then to relay them back to his guys. Noah (project manager) was incredibly organized and not once was there someone standing around looking for something to do. My neighbors could not believe how fast it went up and how awesome the final outcome was. The price was not the cheapest, but this is a case in which you definitely get what you pay for. The quality of their work is second to none and after seeing it completed, I can't imagine having used anyone else. I also highly recommend visiting their showroom. Our porch looks as good if not better than what they have in there. Bottom line, if you want a high-quality product, fair pricing, and lightning fast completion, go with DW. On advice is to book them well in advance of when you want it completed as they stay busy. Ours was quoted about 2.5-3 months out and they were spot on with their estimate.

The work was priced fairly and completed in a professional, timely manner. The DW Elite Team is easy to work with and very responsive. They are knowledgeable in building coder requirements and answered all questions pertinent to the construction. Would definitely hire again.

A crew of 8-10 guys showed up every day for 10 days and marched right through it. They all knew what they were doing, had a plan and executed it. They paid attention to all the details.

DW Elite Decks did a fantastic job. The crew was at our home when they promised they would be. Their work was top-notch, they gave attention to detail, they cleaned up after themselves and took care to protect our home and landscaping. The quality of the work reflects the fact that Elite employees are true builders, not just deck builders. In addition, Dan suggested ideas that saved us valuable space on the rebuild, as opposed to just replacing the way the original decks/steps were laid out. Dan took care to make sure we were completely satisfied in the end. You definitely get what you pay for with DW Elite Decks!

We had a major problem during the construction but thats when you get to see what type of people you are dealing with and DW handled everything with the utmost urgency and professionalism. Problems happen from time to time and you want to hire someone like DW that will take responsibility and make it right. We love our new covered deck and patio and would certainly hire DW again.

Punctual and exactly on schedule. We did not know exactly the configuration that we wanted, so we brainstormed on design with several bidders. As we brainstormed, Dan M. stood out among the bidders because he was a stickler for quality and building code compliance. He would let me know when and idea I had was good and practical, or when one of my ideas would compromise quality. As for quality, I would recommend that you go see on of the decks they have installed. Price was comparable with other bidders. I don't recall that they were the low bidder, but choosing them seemed like a no-brainer considering their customer service and expertise.

I knew that something had to be done with my exterior living space. It was old and in an advanced state of disrepair. I contacted several companies but DW Elite Decks stood out from the rest. The owner, Dan, from the first time we met was super professional and offered insight into the project that I really appreciated not being an expert in construction and building projects. He had great ideas and was not turned off by the difficulty of taking a deck that was cramped by the overhanging screened-in porch and transforming it into an actual beautiful and usable deck. Dan guided me through the entire process and was always available every step of the way. He even made sure the deck colors matched the stamped patio colors to provide an extremely aesthetic appearance. Left to me It would have been a technicolor nightmare. He made the entire project super easy. I really appreciated that since I had never done any home improvements on this scale before. Dan was honest, professional, courteous, and open throughout the entire project. Honestly, that was surprising because it seems to me you never meet too many people these days with that level of integrity. DW Elite Decks surpassed my expectations. They did a superb job and I am in awe every time I go outside. If you are considering upgrading your exterior space do not look anywhere else. Dan and the DW Elite team are simply the best in Kansas City.

Extremely well. Dan came out when promised, made appropriate suggestions, and promptly provide a fair price. Materials were delivered on schedule and the work was completed as promised, on time. Further, when an unforeseen structural situation was discovered, a solution was quickly determined and the problem was successfully solved without compromising the schedule. We identified a small cosmetic problem and the company came out and resolved that issue the same day; in fact, doing more work than was requested. We are extremely pleased with the company, its employees and the work performed and gladly recommend DW Elite Decks.

Dan and his crew were very polite and professional as well as being wonderful craftsman. I really didn't have any concerns at all until later in the project when i noticed a mark on one of the posts for the covered area. The post was up and the roof was on, but after voicing my concerns to Dan, the post was replaced without question. I kept informed on their scheduled work hours/days was always aware of any schedule changes due to weather. It was more than we wanted to spend, but looking back now after having been able to enjoy the deck for 6 months, it is worth every penny. I would highly recommend DW decks.
